At Highland, we believe

We believe in the TRINITY
In one God: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

We believe in the BIBLE
That the Old and New Testament Scriptures given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living. (Luke 24:44-47; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe in the reality of SIN
That people are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually. (Genesis 3;Mark 7:21-23; Romans 5:12-14)

We believe in ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD
That the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost. (Ezekiel 18:1-4; Romans 2:1-16; 14:7-12)

We believe that JESUS DIED FOR ALL PEOPLE
That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin. (Isaiah 53:5-6, 11; Mark 10:45; Luke 24:46-48; Romans 3:21-26; 5:2-21; Ephesians 2:1, 4-5; 1 John 1:9)

We believe in the WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ezekiel 36:25-27; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 15:8-9; Ephesians 3:14-21; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; 1 John 1:7, 9)

We believe in the WITNESS OF THE SPIRIT
That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to entire sanctification of believers. (Romans 8:15-17)

We believe in the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD
That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place. (Matthew 25:31-46; John 14:1-3; Acts 17:30-31; Romans 14:7-12; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10)
