This week we will conclude our series called, “At The Crossroads” in a message entitled, “Facing Your Future Fears.” We will be talking about the incident in Acts 3 where Peter healed the lame man at the temple gate.
Peter was confronted that day with a “God-sized” opportunity to heal and witness to His faith in God and the resurrection of Jesus at the same time. As the story unfolds, we find that Peter’s obedience to God placed him in conflict with the religious leaders of that time. Peter willingly took the risk.
Every time you grab on to an opportunity that God lays before you, He will use those times to change you and mold you so that you begin to walk God’s way more naturally. By responding to these opportunities we are made more and more like Jesus.
Here’s the question I want you to consider: “Is there a risk you are afraid to take because you know it would change things and result in a deeper closeness to God?”
God wants to work in and through you. He wants to use you for His purposes. He gives you His Spirit to empower you to do whatever He shows you to do.
We will talk about how to move past your fear of risk so that you can seize the opportunities God offers to serve Him now and in the future.
