There are some issues in our life as Jesus followers that seem to come up over and over again. We will look at some of these themes in a series called “Common Issues for Christ Followers.”
Our first topic is “How Can I Know God’s Will?” This is an important and frequently asked question. There is nothing more important than knowing and doing God’s will. The Apostle Paul wrote…
Ephesians 5:15-17 “Be careful how you live, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
The great thing is that God wants you to know His will. He wants you to understand. So why is it so difficult? You may wonder, “If I want to know God’s will and God wants me to know His will, how come I’m having such a hard time?”
God’s will is not a bunch of rules. God’s will is found in a relationship to Him. God’s will is not an agenda. It is an attitude. It is not a life map where everything is laid out. It is a lifestyle of following Jesus.
We are going flesh out this issue as we seek to understand how knowing God will is a natural outflow of a personal, day-by-day relationship with Him.
