THE FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Grady Gillespie shares a message entitled, “Manger of Peace.” We will be lighting the Angel’s Candle of Peace on the Advent Wreath. This candle represents the “peace on earth among the people who please God” message that the angel shared with the shepherds.
Many things that “make” us busy, overwhelmed and stressed out, especially around the holidays. Christmas is just a few days away now and for many of us the Christmas season brings stress and busyness to a whole new level. The peace of Christmas is lost in the holiday busy.
Jesus lying in the manger sleeping is the fulfillment of the angel’s announcement and an illustration of the peace we are offered to live with all year around. Join us as we talk more about the peace we are offered this Christmas.
Here are the Scripture Readings for the remaining days of Advent and Christmas 2013…
- December 22: Hebrews 10:5-18
- December 23: Luke 2:8-12
- December 24: Luke 1:26-38
