Highland Avenue Community Church of the Nazarene in Rancho Cucamonga, California

Guest Speaker:  Pastor Tim Smith.

He was raised in Southern California in the home of a Nazarene Pastor. As a young boy Tim sought the leading of God’s direction in his life.

During college he attended Point Loma Nazarene University, Nazarene Bible College, & Mid-America Nazarene University where he earned his bachelor’s in Religion.

He then went on to Nazarene Theological Seminary to receive a Masters of Divinity. In 2005 he was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and a month later he married his wife Bree.

In 2006 Tim joined the staff of Seattle First Church of the Nazarene, where they developed a Compassionate Ministry Center: Mosaic, a community coffee house. In 2011 they moved back to Southern California, where Tim is now the Pastor of Beach Cities Christian Fellowship in Hermosa Beach.

Tim & Bree have two kids: Phineas (4) & Sukey (1). Pastor Tim enjoys looking at life from different angles in order to redevelop old and create new space where the Kingdom of God is displayed.

He looks forward to opportunities to stretch our understanding of who God is calling us to be, today and tomorrow. He hopes to always empower others to love the Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength – and our neighbors as ourselves.

His topic is, “Ordinary to EXTRAORDINARY,” from Acts 2:37-47. Come worship with us.
