This week we continue our “Building Relationships,” message series. We’re talking about how to strengthen our good relationships, how to heal our bad ones and how to deal with the people in our lives that really push our buttons.

On Sunday we are going to talk about the skill of “Resolving Conflict.” We commonly face conflict in every segment of our society. We also see the devastating effects of conflict on every continent.

Knowing how to resolve conflict, is an important skill to have. It is also essential to your happiness. You can be wealthy, you can be attractive, you can be successful, you can be talented, but if your relationships are riddled with conflict, your life is a mess.

In Romans 12:17-18, the Apostle Paul encourages us to be ready for conflict and he set the goal for conflict resolution. He says…

“Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.”

Our goal is to “never pay back” and to “do all we can to live in peace with everyone.” So, why does God want us to live at peace with everyone? It’s because unresolved conflict has the potential to hinder your fellowship with God, your ability to talk with God in prayer and your happiness in life.

In this message, we work through seven Biblical steps to resolving conflict. This is a message you won’t want to miss!
