Can you believe it we are in our sixth week of our 50 Days of Transformation series and will be tackling the area of financial health this week?
There are many areas in our life that say a lot about our character and values. Money and our finances can often seem like they are a direct reflection of our soul.
Money shows what we value, our attitudes towards others and many other characteristics about ourselves. We look this week to the parable of the shrewd manager to uncover some Biblical principles regarding money.
Luke 16:9-11 (NLT)
“Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your earthly possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home. “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?”
In many ways the money we are given the rights to use on this earth is an opportunity for us to show our true selves. We see many instances in our world where improper use of money leads to many damaging interactions in community. What if there was a better intention on how to view money? I think there just might be…
