Have you ever set out to change yourself? Perhaps you decided to be positive instead of negative. Maybe you decided to improve your grammar or even your manners. Possibly some experience convinced you to strive to be a better person.

We all have areas of our lives where, over time, we’ve developed some unimpressive characteristics or behaviors. We know we should do something about those areas but change is tough… particularly changing yourself!

This message is entitled, “When Change Seems Impossible.” We are specifically going to talk about spiritual change. Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, God wants to change you and help you to be the person He has in mind for you to be.

Change is what God’s best at. It’s what He delights in most. If you’re a follower of Christ, God is already in the process of changing you to become what He originally desired when He started His work in you… His masterpiece.

Paul talked about God’s plan for you in Ephesians 2:10 (NLT). He said,

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

You may not know this is happening but God is creating something in you. You don’t have to change yourself. You just need to give Him your permission. God wants to build a relationship with you and He’ll do the changing part.

Join us as we talk about how God’s change is possible in your life. God’s way is much more effective than trying to change yourself.
