This week five of our current series, “S.H.A.P.E. Finding Your Fit In Ministry.” Our goal is to help you discover how God can use your Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences for effective ministry.
Each message is designed to will help you recognize and do what God has gifted you to do best. This is one of our Engagement Goals for 2013-14. This week’s message entitled, “You’ve Got Personality,” will focus on the “P” or Personality portion of your S.H.A.P.E.
Personality refers to the way you think, feel and act. Your personality is partially inborn (hereditary factors) and it’s also partially learned (environmental factors).
Each of us are a complex combination of many different traits that make up our personality. Scientists say they have identified up to 18,000 different personality traits. You’re a unique combination of those. Your personality influences every area of your life.
Your personality even influences how you relate to God. Some people like to worship God in a quiet, meditative, contemplative kind of way. Some people relate to God in a very loud and emotional kind of way. We’re just different.
How you get along with and relate to others is the greatest indicator of your personality. This message will focus on our relationships and how we can improve our personality to build stronger relationships with others.
