By the Wayside

ww-bythewaysideThe garden beckons!

Trimming, weeding, fertilizing, watering, cultivating

Maintenance

The needful and necessary!

Time, toil and tender care!

OR

Ignoring!

Going and doing other things

Wandering away

Away from a part of God’s Creation

Away from a garden that can bring joy and beauty

A tragic wandering with dire results

Untrimmed, straggly bushes

Weeds tall and going to seed

Scrawny unfed bushes and plants

Wilted dying flowers

Neglected untilled ground

Fruitlessness

Unsightly chaos

A garden in disarray

Growing wild

Everything going by the wayside!

Life beckons!

Not unlike a garden

A life filled with choices and priorities

Worldly wants and desires calling us aside

To wander away from the Sovereign One who loves us

OR

To choose daily to seek God Almighty

Doing what is needful, necessary

Maintaining a loving relationship with the Lord

OR

Ignoring Him!

With no regard to having God in your life!

A tragic wandering with dire results

A straggly faith, sporadic and sparse

Having no substance

Dotted with sin here and there

Without repentance

Unfed without the food of God’s Word

Neglecting time with the Lord

Not growing

Not maturing

Fruitless in service

Unsightly, chaotic

Looking too much like the world

In disarray, going wild

With no purpose; not following God’s plan

A life going by the wayside!

Oh, come back!

With a heart that yearns to be close to God!

Desiring to fellowship with Him

To be surrounded by His loving arms, within His care

A oneness! A sweet communion!

Heart to heart with your precious Savior

For there is no better place to be

Close to Him

For He is worthy of all our praise!

Come close to Christ’s “wounded” side!

By His “Way” side!
