In Living Color

Unspeakable and beyond belief
Varied and uniquely different
Visible in our surrounding world
In the everyday
In every direction and in all things
A prism of
God’s spectacular creation
A gift to us every waking day
Living color
Not merely black and white
A visible
Emblazoned in His wondrous cre
His character and attributes
His might and majesty!
Part of His essence in full view!
A revelation of Almighty God
In Living Color
Such variety
God’s wondrous colors
Catching the eye
hues and intensity
Vibrant and subtle
on the color-board of life
colors on display
God’s color palette!
expression of who He is!
In living color!
Beginning with whitest white
In snow’s carpet of pristine serenity
Crystallized prisms reflecting God’s purity and holiness
Clean and spotless, without blemish
The Lamb of God
Who takes away the sin of the world!
Calling us to live holy as He is holy
A reflection of Christ!
Name above all names!
Buttercup yellow
Seen in the petals of a cheerful daisy
A reflection of joy and sunshine
Radiating the warmth of God’s love
Spreading happiness and inner peace within
For God is the Light of the world
Revealed in the golden sunshine of each new day
Illuminating our hearts and minds
With His very Being through the Light of His Word!
Yellow and gold fading into brilliant orange
Bringing good cheer to all!
Marigolds and quiet daylilies
Blooming forth to awaken Spring
Growing tall and sturdy
A sign of new life in Christ springing forth
An orange tree’s vivid fruit displayed
Yielding a bountiful crop in season
Does not Christ call us also to bring forth fruit in our lives?
Red, magenta, burgundy and rosy mauve
Shout forth their vivid colors!
The ruby red of a rose’s velvety petals opening to sun’s first rays
Red’s glow in majestic sunsets and at the break of day
Drawing our eyes toward our Maker
Stopping us in awe and wonder
Red, leading us to the Cross of Christ
Mingled in the vibrant red of Christ’s shed blood
The cost of our redemption, our salvation
Providing eternal life for all who believe!
Will we not give thanks for God’s saving grace?
Deepest red turning into regal purple
Displayed in subtle hues
Seen in stately iris in full bloom
God’s royal mountains clothed in majesty!
Proclaiming our mighty King!
In strength and grandeur
Purple! The color of royalty
Our matchless Sovereign One clothed in righteousness!
King of kings and Lord of lords!
Ruling supreme upon His heavenly throne!
As purple melts into deepest blue
God’s expanse opens to azure skies
The blue of the heavens reaching into eternity
From horizon to horizon
Aquamarine reaching into the depths of the sea
Proclaiming God’s immensity, His greatness!
Displayed in the starry night sky in midnight blue
God is endless and unchanging
Over all and in all!
With blue fading into greens of many shades
Life springs forth!
The color of all things that grow, that are alive
Touching God’s green earth
From the beginning green shoots from dead seeds planted
God brings forth life from that, which was not
From our lives!
God’s Word planted, springing forth in growth and maturity
Welling up to eternal life in Him!
A life desiring to know Him and enjoy Him forever!
God’s spectacular kaleidoscope of color!
Vibrant and alive! In living color!
Proclaiming God’s Creation and who He is!
May you enjoy Him in light of what is seen!
