Nature’s Praise

The heavens declare the glory of the Lord!
But a garden…
Sings forth His praises!
At the break of dawn!
Proclaiming a new day!
The birds with their melodious chirping
With cheerful praise in song
Their trill awakens the early morning rays at sunrise
Hummingbirds flitting from bush to bush
Jabbering back and forth
Playing chase across the lawn
Speaking joy and laughter
The gentle breeze in dewy coolness
Whispers through the garden paths
Around blooming bushes
With soft gentle sounds
The gladiolas stand abloom in erect rows
Like a chorus line
In beauty, they raise their blossoms heavenward
Trumpeting forth God’s majesty
All day long!
Ruby amaryllis, roses and sweet smelling petunias
Shout forth praise in glory and splendor!
Feathery reeds and grasses
Swaying in graceful harmony
Dancing in tune to the wind
Bowing to the glory of God!
Uttering forth praise!
Even lizards on the garden wall
Pumping up and down in calisthenics
Proclaim God’s praises
In playful chase
Expressing joy!
Does not a garden speak forth?
Peace and quiet
God’s gentle whisper
His very presence
Can you not imagine?
God’s Creation, the garden of Eden!
What bliss! What joy and peace!
Singing forth in wondrous praise!
Shouting forth to its Creator
God is worthy! God is worthy!
Worthy of glory, and honor and praise!
For He is above all and over all
High and lifted up in splendor and majesty!
King of kings and Lord of lords
One day we all will stand before His throne
In awe, giving forth praise to the Lord above
If a garden sings forth praise to God Most High,
Should we not do likewise?
Shouldn’t we declare the worth of our Savior and Lord?

Psalm 100 All – Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs…for the Lord is good and his love endures forever.
Psalm 150 All – Praise the Lord…Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
