Highland Avenue Community Church of the Nazarene in Rancho Cucamonga, California

Online Worship Services through April

Dear Church Family,
The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it. The Lord is faithful to that which the Lord has created!
Another week of sheltering in place is behind us, and our routines are hopefully falling into place.

It appears we are going to be at this for a while. With that in mind the church board, preschool director, CynDee Allen and I have decided to keep our preschool closed through May 1st. This is necessary to assist the community with mitigating the spread of COVID19. As such, the board and I have agreed we should continue with online worship services through April. This means, unfortunately, that we will be worship for Holy Week and Easter by Livestream. I am not personally thrilled by this news, but it is the only real alternative we have.
So, let’s be encouraged. God is with us! He is alive and well, despite our momentary setbacks due to the virus. We are planning all services in the days to come with a heart to honor God in every way. Please pray with us for a great month of April. As you remember the preschool, remember our teachers in prayer. They are continuing to maintaining contact with school families; resourcing parents with curriculum materials; and serving as faithfully as they can. We are committed to paying our teachers through the end of the school year to help through the current crisis.
This Sunday, we will gather through Livestream for worship. Please visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HighlandAveCommNazarene/
You don’t need to have a Facebook account to view the Livestream or to use the resources we have posted on our FB page. If you don’t have a Facebook account you can still access all of our daily devotions, Worship live stream and stay updated with everything we are posting on our Facebook account. You can follow this link https://www.facebook.com/HighlandAveCommNazarene/ to access all our information. If you have not followed our Children’s Ministry page for updates related to our Kids you can go here: https://www.facebook.com/Highlandavechildren/ and our Momentum youth page is located here: https://www.facebook.com/Momentumyouth/
Our theme this Sunday is the resurrection of life. God is not done with us. He will make us thrive, even in our new challenges. There will be quality music to sing along with; prayers offered for the sake of the world; messages for children and youth; and a message of hope from Ezekiel 37:1-14 entitled, All Hope Is Not Lost.
One last word of reminder: the church and preschool expenses continue. We are so grateful for your previous generosity, and we ask that you continue your faithful giving in the days to come. You may give online at https://onrealm.org/highlandave/SignIn?ReturnUrl=%2Fhighlandave%2FGive.
You may also mail in your check, or give by text. Thank you for remembering our shared ministry.
Peace,
Pastor Phil
