Accelerate Children’s Ministry
At Highland, we believe in empowering our children to become disciples of God and leaders of the community. We offer Sunday School and Mid-Week classes (Wednesday Nights) for children birth through 6th grade. Our ministry includes active and engaging teaching and worship, interactive interest-based learning, and age-specific groups. Each activity our kids participate in is designed to match the different learning styles and interests of our children. These activities are categorized by play, explore, and create.
birth - 2 years old
In the Nursery, we introduce babies and toddlers to God and faith through play, music, and movement. Here our children begin to learn that our church is a safe place and begin to build relationships with others.
3-year-olds - 1st grade
In the Three-year-old to 1st-grade class, we promote developmental skills through hands-on activities and play. We make the Bible fascinating for our kids through interactive storytelling. We help our children form relationships with others and engage them in fellowship with one another.
Elementary: 2nd - 6th grade
In the Elementary class (2nd-6th grade), we bring the Bible to life through interactive story-telling and creative learning activities. We create a safe place for children to express their faith and offer an environment where children feel comfortable asking questions. We also provide opportunities for children to serve their church, their community, and their world while encouraging relationships with others.
